Elle Cocco (Wando) threw 151-4.54 in the javelin at the 5A Division 1 championships on May 14, improving from her previous best of 136-5.8. The mark ranks #2 in South Carolina and #1 among sophomores, and set a school record. Cocco won the event among 14 competitors.
Alexandra Fullington (Woodmont) cleared 5-2.75 in the high jump at the 5A Division 2 meet on May 16, improving from 4-11.06 set in May 2026. The sophomore ranks #32 in the state and #12 among sophomores, and set a school record. Fullington placed second of 16 competitors.
Jerel Wine (Swansea) ran 15.60 in the 110m hurdles at the 3A championships on May 15, improving from his previous best of 16.25 set in May 2026. The senior ranks #72 in South Carolina and placed second of 14 competitors.
Royal Williams (Marlboro County) clocked 16.29 in the 110m hurdles at the 3A meet on May 15, improving from 17.01. The junior ranks #32 among juniors in the state and placed eighth of 14 competitors. Williams also set a personal record in the 400m hurdles, improving from 1:04.27 to 1:02.74.
Princeton Frazier (Wagener-Salley) ran 16.25 in the 110m hurdles at the 1A championships on May 16, improving from 17.09. The mark ranks #110 in the state and set a school record. Frazier placed seventh of 14 competitors.
