This Week's Nominees:
Graicen Edwards, AC Flora (South Carolina): Crossing first out of 236 finishers at the Heathwood Hall Highlander Invitational, a 5K clocking of 16:59.69 was enough to win by 40.2 seconds. The time stands as the fastest in MileSplit's database at this course since 2019, a span covering 1,861 athletes.
Cameron Maxey, Hampton Park (South Carolina): Covering the 5K in 17:43.42 at the WNC Cross Country Carnival.
Charlotte Kellett, Wando (South Carolina): 54.6-second improvement on this course from her previous 20:10.71, and ranks No. 10 of 953 athletes in MileSplit's database at Summerville since 2019.
Ella Tetor, Pickens (South Carolina): A 5K time of 19:24.14 at the Region 1-3A Pre-Region Meet was good for first out of 42 finishers, holding off the field by 14.8 seconds.
Evelyn Mercer, Palmetto Christian Academy (South Carolina): Runner-up out of 236 finishers at the Heathwood Hall Highlander Invitational, a 5K time of 17:39.87 marked a 60.2-second improvement over a previous 18:40.06 on this course.
