scrunners: When did you start to run?
harvin: I started to run my sophomore year.

scrunners: What or whom helped you get into the sport?
harvin: I was always labeled as a fast person with a lot of endurance.

scrunners: Does or did anyone else in your family run?
harvin: My mom ran in high school.

scrunners: Where is your favorite place to train?
harvin: Our home track.

scrunners: Do you have a favorite cross country course?
harvin: McAlpine Park in Charlotte because it is a fast course. Editor\'s note: McAlpine Park is the host location for Wendy\'s Invitational and Footlocker South.

scrunners: Where do you feel the state cross-country meet should be held?
harvin: Sandhills, because there is no reason to move.

scrunners: Explain how your race unfolded at the 2005 State Cross Country Championships.
harvin: I ran well.

scrunners: When a race strategy changes from how you planned, how do you react?
harvin: I just make the best of the situation. For example at the Class AAAA State Track Championship in 2005 the 800 got out slow and I couldn\'t get a good position, but I just waited and kicked at the end.

scrunners: What would you say is the most prestigious emet you have competed in and how did you fare?
harvin: I would say Nike Indoor Nationals in 2005 (14th nationally 4x800) and eighth nationally in the distance medley relay.

scrunners: How have you been preparing for this track season?
harvin: I have a great distance coach that\'s helping me with endurance.
scrunners: How much rest did you take following cross-country.
harvin: I took two weeks off.

scrunners: What events are you looking to focus on this on this season.
harvin: I am looking to focus on the 1600-meter run.

scrunners: During last track season, what was your most challening race. Explain.
harvin: The Taco Bell Classic 4x800 because we raced the All-American Mountain Brook 4x800 team and beat them on the last leg, later finding out we had just run the second best time in the nation at that time.

scrunners: As a senior, what would you like to remember upon graduation.
harvin: Having three consecutive state championships.

scrunners: What are you looking to do in the future?
harvin: Run in college.

scrunners: Does Ridge View has any team rivals?
harvin: Spring Valley.

scrunners: Does Ridge View have any team traditions prior to a meet.
harvin: Just getting hyped for every meet.

scrunners: Do you have a favorite running book or movie?
harvin: Forrest Gump.

scrunners: Have you ever met a professional athlete?
harvin: Yes, at Indoor National\'s we didn\'t really talk. I just got Justin Gatlin and LaShawn Merritt\'s autographs.

scrunners: What do you look for in a coach and what do you expect?
harvin: I look for a person that\'s honest and a strong authority figure. I expect the coach to see the specific talent I possess and help me to use it to the best of my ability.

scrunners: What keeps you motivated to get out the door?
harvin: God keeps me motivated and having the responsibility of being part of the team leaders. Knowing that I am practically responsible for developing the younger guys on the team.

scrunners: Have you ever thought about coaching cross-country or track.
harvin: Yes, on the high school level.

scrunners: If there is one thing in the world you could achieve?
harvin: Getting an Olympic medal, because that\'s been my dream since I started running.
