University of South Carolina's LaKya Brookins (Seneca) and Matt Shuler (White Knoll) brought home wins for the Gamecocks at the Texas A&M Challenge Saturday.
Brookins set a meet record of 7.24 seconds in the finals of the 60-meter dash, an automatic NCAA qualifying time. Brookings ran 7.26, the fastest time in the preliminaries and also a NCAA qualifying time.
Shuler won the pole vault with a best mark of 17 feet, 3.75 inches.
