REGION 4 AAAA TRACK MEET
HOSTED BY: Spring Valley High School at Harry Parone Stadium
WHEN: Thursday, April 25, 2013 (rain date is Friday, April.26, 2013)
ENTRIES: Entries will be taken through scrunners.com
Entries are due by 11:59pm, Monday, April 22nd.
COACHES' MEETING: 4:45 pm (scratches only, no substitutions)
PRELIMS: Prelims for 100m, high hurdles 5:45pm
FINALS: Field - 5:15pm, Running finals - 6:00 pm
INSTRUCTIONS
1. All athletes must have competed in 2 meets prior to being entered in the region meet.
2. You are required by the SCHSL to enter a grade for each athlete. Athletes entered without a grade will be scratched from the meet.
3. In the Field Events a contestant will be allowed three (3) preliminary trials with the best six (8) receiving three (3) additional trials in the finals.
4. Four athletes in each event and four teams in each relay will qualify to the AAAA Qualifier to be held at Spring Valley HS on May 4, 2013.
5. Contestants: Each school may enter a maximum of four athletes per event. Each athlete may compete in a maximum of four events.
6. All contestants in running events must report to the clerk of course 30 minutes prior to the posted start of their event. Field event contestants will report directly to the event site.
7. All coaches are requested to turn in accurate marks from the 2013 track season only. If a coach sends in a mark which is obviously inaccurate, it will be changed for seeding purposes.
INFORMATION
1. Equipment: All starting blocks will be provided. Only inch spikes allowed.
2. Warm-ups: No one will be allowed on the track or infield except athletes competing in an ongoing event unless otherwise announced.
3. Order of Events: Girls will precede boys in all running events. Preliminaries will be run in the 100m dash and high hurdles. 8 athletes will make it to the finals in the 100m and high hurdles.
4. Coaches may confer with athletes outside the track area (in the stands).
5. Results will be announced as soon as possible after each event.
6. Only school issued track uniforms may be worn. If they say football or basketball on them, then they are not not permitted.
7. Electronic devices of any kind are not permitted on or inside the track oval.
8. Prohibited: Radios, tape players, etc. must not be brought into the stadium.
9. Concessions will be available.
