When: Wednesday and Thursday April 27-28, 2016 (Rain dates April 29 and 30)

Entry Fee: There is NO entry fee or this meet.
Entries: Entries will be submitted on scrunners.com. Log in and go to the Calendar tab at the top of the page. Scroll down until you find the Region 2-3A Championships. You may enter up to 4 athletes per event and 1 relay team per event.
Restrictions All relays MUST have names. You may enter up to 6 runners per relay. Each athlete may be entered in only 4 individual events, OR 3 individual events and up to 2 relays, OR 2 individual events and up to 3 relays. Individual events, once entered, count as an event, even if the athlete does not compete in it. Once the athlete competes in one (or two) relay(s) he/she must be removed from the other(s). If you have questions about this rule, please write or call before completing your entries.
Entries are due by 12:00pm (Noon) on Tuesday April 26.

Coaches Meeting: We will have a coaches/scratch meeting. I will email you a site when I arrange one. It will be at some restaurant and I will treat you to dinner. We will make ALL corrections at this meeting. NO CHANGES OF ANY KIND WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER THIS MEETING. Heat sheets will be printed after the conclusion of the meet.
General Information for our Region Championships
Prelims will consist of the 100/110 Hurdles, 100, 200 meter sprints. The top 8 FAT times will qualify for the finals.
Starting blocks will be provided. Only ¼ inch spikes or shorter will be allowed.
Order of events will be girls preceding boys for all races.
Scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Region MVP will be determined by the number of points an athlete scores. Relay participation gets ¼ of points team earns. Ties will not be broken.
Region Coach of the Year will go to the winning coach of each gender.
For the throws and horizontal jumps, each athlete will receive three attempts (prelims). The best eight will receive three more attempts (finals). The best performance of the 6 attempts will be used.
Bus parking is located off of Kimbrell Road near the tennis courts. This lot will be open to general public parking at 4:45.
Team tents will be allowed in the visitor stands of the stadium and on the backside of the visitor stands. Bleachers on the home side of track will be used for spectators only. No teams may have tents in the home bleachers.
All clerking will be done from the tent near the restrooms on the visitor’s side of the track. Athletes in these heats and sections will be brought across the track from this area.
Warm-ups can be done on the practice field, behind the stadium. Limited hurdles will be placed on the field.
No warm-ups on the infield of the track. Only athletes participating in jumps will be allowed on the infield.
Track warm-ups will be closed at 4:45.
A PA system will be used for announcing calls of track events and can be heard on both the track and warm-up field. We will stay on time schedule unless weather threatens.
Concessions stand will be open.
Commemorative T-shirts will be available for sale.
The gate price will be $5 a person each day.
Implement weigh-in will be from 4:30-4:45pm. All implements must be weighed in. Any athlete who uses an illegal implement and/or an implement not weighed in will be disqualified. Rule 6-2 Art 17.
