GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Each school may enter four athletes per event, and each athlete may compete in a maximum of four events. Please review participation Rule 5-9-2. Example: An athlete may be listed in two individual events and as a member of three relay teams. Once this athlete competes in two relays, he/she will not be eligible for the other relay.
The rules for the pole vault must be enforced. Specifically, the vaulters weight shall be at or below the manufacturers pole rating. The manufacturers pole rating shall be visible in a one-inch contrasting color, as well as a one-inch circular band indicating the maximum top handhold position. Pole rating markings are to be located above the handhold band. The coach of a vaulter must verify that the athlete is utilizing the appropriate pole and must be able to certify the vaulters actual weight to the event judge. The weight of each vaulter must be supplied to the event judge and entered on the event sheet.
You are required to enter a grade and first and last names for each athlete.
Each coach is required to sign a SCHSL letter that outlines regulations for participation in the state meet series. Please bring the attached letter to the meet signed.
Running event athletes will report to the clerk of course located in the garage near the 400m start/finish line. Field event athletes will report directly to the event site. Athletes failing to check in on third call will be scratched.
Relay teams should have all six athletes listed during registration.
All running events will be final events. Field event athletes will have three (3) preliminary trials, and the best eight (8) will advance for three additional attempts.
Athletes should not warm up on the track or infield unless competing in an ongoing event.
Coaches may confer with their athletes away from the ongoing event.
If we get ahead of schedule, we will try our best to stay ahead. Please remind athletes to pay attention to the announcements of events.
Four athletes/four relay teams per event will advance to the 1A Upper State Qualifier held at South Side Christian HS on May 7.
An automatic timing system will be used to manage this meet.
