Girls’ Varsity 5:00 Boys’ Varsity 5:40 Girls & Boys JV will run together at 6:15

Registration:
Coaches can register their teams through the scrunners.com website. You should register seven runners for your boys’ team and seven runners for your girls’ team. There is no need to register the jv runners. There is a $60.00 per school registration fee ($35.00 for a boys or girls team). Checks should be made out to Heathwood Hall Episcopal school and mailed to: Heathwood Hall 3000 S. Beltline Blvd. Columbia, SC 29201 Attn: Willis Ware

Awards Ceremony:
The awards ceremony will begin as soon as the results are completed.
Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams in the varsity girls’ and boys’ division.
Medals will be awarded to the top 15 varsity girls and the top 15 varsity boys.


Instructions:
Varsity runners must wear bib numbers. You may enter a maximum of 7 varsity athletes in each race.

Only runners with bib numbers will be scored. Please ensure that your runners wear their bibs on the front of their uniforms. We will only record times for runners with bibs that are visible from the front. Please remind your athletes that they must not tear off the strips from the bib numbers before they have finished!

Coaches are responsible for recording their JV times. A large digital clock will be displayed at the finish line to help in recording times for JV runners.

Each team will be assigned a starting box for varsity and junior varsity runners.


Results:
The results will be sent in to The State newspaper and will also be submitted to SCRunners.com.


Course:
The Heathwood Hall cross country course is flat except for a short, steep downhill and a single gentle uphill on each loop. The course is 195 meters from the start to the loop, a 2270 meter loop that is run twice, 140 meters from the loop to the final turn and 125 meters from the final turn to the finish chute. The surface is mostly grass with some packed dirt. The start is at the back of the baseball field near the scoreboard and the finish chute is between the football bleachers and the baseball field. The course will be clearly marked with both flags and painted arrows. Course maps will be provided in your packets.
