AAAA Lower State Qualifying Meet
Saturday October 29th, 2016

Schedule of Events
9:30 AM – Coaches Meeting
10:00 AM – AAAA Girls
10:40 AM – AAAA Boys
11:10 AM – Open Race (Open to anybody who would like to run the course. School issue uniforms may not be worn)

Teams Participating
Region VI – Crestwood, Darlington, Hartsville, Lakewood
Region VII – Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, St. James, Wilson
Region VIII – Beaufort, Berkley, Cane Bay, Colleton County, Hilton Head, Stall

Registration
Teams will be allowed 7 entries. You may make substitutions up to 15 minutes before the first race.
Team Entries will be due by Sunday October 25th by 11:59 PM. Register on-line @http://sitesignal.com/crosscountry/

Directions:
Darlington Middle School is located at 150 Pinedale Dr. Darlington, SC 29532

From I-95
Take Exit 164 onto US-52 toward Darlington. Drive 5.1 miles and turn left onto 52 By-Pass S. Governor Williams Highway. Drive 2.1 miles and take exit right (follow signs for Darlington Raceway). Turn left onto Harry Byrd Hwy. Drive 2.3 miles (you will pass Darlington Raceway) and turn right onto Pinedale Rd. Go to the second driveway and turn left.

From I-20
Take Exit 131 onto US-401. Drive 8.6 miles and turn left onto Rogers Rd. Drive 1.8 miles and you will dead end into Harry Byrd Hwy, turn left and drive .5 miles and turn right onto Pinedale Dr. Go to the second driveway and turn left.

Bus Parking:
BUSES will enter the first driveway and will be directed where to proceed upon entering.

Awards:
No awards, this is a qualifying meet for the state championship. Qualifiers will be recognized over the public address system once results are finalized.


Spectator Parking:
Spectators will be charged $5 per car when they enter the parking lot. To make it easy and fast, we ask that people have the correct amount ready when they enter.

Restrooms:
We will have port-o-johns by the handicap parking area, which is centrally located to the start and finish lines.
We will also be opening the school locker room bathrooms, which are located by the finish line. However, keep in mind that there are only two toilets in each. We also ask that you make sure your athletes, parents, and friends, that they are not allowed in the gym.

Team Tents:
Team tents may be set up in the designated area between the basketball court and starting area of the course.

Inclement Weather:
In the event of inclement weather, DMS has given us permission to use the gym for team camps. If this happens, we will send out more information.

T-shirts for Sale
There will be Lower-State Qualifier T-shirts available for sale. Prices will be published later.

Results:
Results will be announced and posted on www.scrunners.com.

The TOP 7 TEAMS and the TOP 5 INDIVIDUALS NOT ON A QUALIYING TEAM, advance to the State Championship Meet on November 5th at Sandhills in Columbia. Entries for the state championship are due by Sunday, Oct 30th at midnight. After this time, you will have to directly contact the SC High School League for permission to enter the meet and your team may be subject to a fine.

All teams will only be allowed to enter 7 for the state meet, but they may substitute up to 15 minutes before the start of their race.
