Dear Coaches,

We are excited you have chosen to attend the 2019 Shark Invitational at May River High School on Saturday, March 30. Entries may be edited until 11:59 pm, Tuesday, March 26. On the day of the meet, the track will be open for warm-ups beginning at 7:30 am. There will be a gate fee of $5.00 per individual. Meet t-shirts will be sold for $15.00 A coach's area with food and drink will be open for the duration of the meet to all coaching staff. Tents will be permitted in designated areas on the grass and in the visitor stands. No tents will be allowed in the stands on the home side of the field. We will have a high school athletic trainer on site.

Please see below for meet details and a schedule of events. Our goal is to move efficiently through the day so that we may be ahead of schedule. Please make certain your athletes are on site atleast an hour and a half before they compete. We look forward to seeing you at the meet.

Details

Facilities: May River High School track is a 400m track with 8 lanes. Shot Put and Discus are the only throwing events to be contested.

Spikes: Pyramid & Xmas Tree spikes of . (6mm) or smaller are allowed. No pin or needle spikes.

Eligibility: Open to all high schools who are members of their state's associations and all colleges.

Entry Deadline: The entry deadline for all entries is Tuesday, March 26. High School entries should be submitted through SC Mile split.

Entry Fee: The entry fee for High School will be $80 per team per gender ($150 for both teams). Make checks payable to MRHS Booster Club, Shark Invitational, and mail to: Attn: May River Booster Club Treasurer, c/o Brett Macy, 601 New Riverside Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.

Entry Limitations: There is a 2 athlete per team per event limit for all running events and a 2 athlete per team per event limit for all field events. Relay events will be allowed 2 teams per school per event.

Performance List: Packets will be provided with heat sheets and event schedule.

Heats/Flights: All running events will be run as heats against time. In all field events, athletes will have a total of four attempts with the top three performances taking the awards.

Event Check In: Athletes must check-in with the clerk of the course of 20 minutes prior to the start of their event. Field events will check in at event locations.

Starting Heights: The starting height will be determined by the meet officials once all entries are turned in.

Awards: High school athletes will receive medals for 1st(Chamption t-shirt as well)/2nd/3rd places and team awards will be given to the top two girls and boys teams. First place athletes will also receive Champion T-Shirts.

Timing: FinishLynx FAT timing with Hy-tek scoring system will be used in all races/events.

Food: Three meals as well as snacks, water, soft drinks, and Gatorade will be offered throughout the day in the concession area.
