UPDATES 10/13/2020: The race is still on.

  • The races will be broken into 3 waves by divisions to meet COVID restrictions (schedule below). Waves are assigned below.

  • Awards for 1st place team in each division. Medals for top 10 in each race.

  • Varsity limited to 10G/10B. JV limited to 10G/10B at this time (email Dena Long dglong@greenville.k12.sc.us ASAP if you would like to request additional JV entries). Entries due Mon 10/12 by noon.

  • No open race this year.

  • Athletes and coaches must wear masks at all times and are encouraged to practice social distancing. Athletes may remove their mask when they are actively warming up or racing. Masks must be worn to the starting line until announced 5 minutes prior to remove them.

  • Teams may set up in practice field. Team tents are discouraged this year.

  • Spectators are allowed at Starlight. Spectators may watch race from the stadium and are expected to wear masks at all fimes and follow social distancing policies. Parents and spectators are not permitted in the team areas, on the track/field, or along the course. Start/Finish is on the football field and the course loops so spectators will see runners multiple times from the stands.

  • $5 parking fee. Enter through Gate #2 off of Suber Road. Athletes driving themselves will not  be charged and must be wearing jersey.

  • Once races are finished, everyone must clean up and exit the facility ASAP for the next wave of races to enter.

          TEAMS HAVE UNTIL WE REACH 40 SCHOOLS TO SECURE THEIR 2020 SLOTS. ATHLETE REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN oN APRIL 18th. COACHES NEED TO ENTER THE MEET AND ENTER AT LEAST 1 ATHLETE PER GENDER THAT WILL BE RETURNING FOR THE 2020 SEASON. TEAMS WILL BE ISSUED A PASSWORD IN SEPTEMBER TO MAKE CHANGES TO THE REGISTRATION.

          Race Times: 13-14 TEAMS PER VARSITY RACE (based on rankings Oct 14th). Email will be sent to all schools setting their race times by 3pm Monday the 12th. Top 14 schools will race Elite, next 13 schools will race Checker, and final 13 schools will race Warrior. Each race has the same awards/medals. Some schools will have their boys/girls split. If you do not want your teams split, email Coach Cummings by Friday the 9th (school will run in the lower of the two divisions they qualify for)!

          7:15 p.m. Girls Warrior Varsity (ten entries)

          8:00 p.m. Girls Checker Varsity (ten entries)
          8:45 p.m. Boys Checker Varsity (ten entries)
          9:15 p.m. Girls Elite Varsity (tenentries)
          9:45 p.m. Boys Elite Varsity (ten entries)

          Course:

          The course will be run on the Riverside High School's campus. It will be a 3 loop course that is fully lit and able to be seen from either set of bleachers. Music will be played throughout the races. Mixed surface

          Bus Parking:

          Buses will park in the parking lot of Riverside Baptist Church off Suber Road, across from the High School

          Spectator Parking:

          Spectator parking is in theparking lots off of Suber Road. Please inform all parents, spectators, etc., toenter through the baseball gate. $5spectator admission fee.

          Restrooms:

          Restroom facilities are available at the visitor side restroom.

          Participation:

          Open to any 7th -12th grade runners. (6th for SCISA and Home School Teams)

          Sanctioned for SC & NC

          We will limit the field to 40 schools. SCRunners Database Rankings on Oct 12 will determine the race teams will be entered in.

          Team Tents:

          Team tents may be set up in HOME and VISITOR stands as well as the practice field. Tents and teams cannot setup on any of the game fields. Trash bags are provided with your team packet, please help clean-up your team area before you leave. BASEBALL & SOFTBALL fields are off limits at all times (except for racers)

          Awards:

          The top 2 varsity teams will receive a plaque and the top JV team will receive a plaque.

          Varsity races- Top 10 individuals will receive medals in the chute

          JV races- Top 10 individuals will receive medals in the chute.

          Open Race will receive medals top male/female (15 & up), top male/female (13 & under),Top M&F Coach,

          Entries:

          Entry deadline is Monday October 12tn at NOON.

          OPEN Race will signup onsite by 4:30pm ($5 cash per runner), Running Clock no official results

          T-Shirts:

          Greenville Running Company will have t-shirts on sale at the meet. Also will have shoes

          Concessions:

          We will have concessions and food trucks onsite, along with Pelican Snoballs

          Entry Fee:



          $80 per team, $150 for both           boys' and girls' teams.
