Meet Information
Meet will be held on Gaffney High School's new Cross Country course, located across from the school. Address for the school is 149 Twin Lake Road, Gaffney, SC 29341.
Both Girls and Boys JV and Varsity runners will race. There will be a Girls race, immediately followed by a Boys race. No separate races for JV and Varsity--they will race together in the respective Girls and Boys races. Girls race will begin at 5pm.
This is a 5K course, with an "outer" loop consisting of the first (roughly) 1.2 miles, and the remainder of the course being on an "inner" loop. The course consists of dirt, mulch, and grass. There is no pavement on the course.
Number of entries accepted is TBD, depending on Covid restrictions.
Please review the following instructions/policies:
- Teams/athletes must bring their own water, snacks, etc. There will be no concessions at the event.
- All athletes must exit the chute area after the finish.
- Masks must be worn at all times by spectators, coaches, and athletes not actively participating. Runners are NOT required to wear masks when competing.
- Please practice social distancing at all times.
- Spectators are welcome! There are a few Spectator Trails on the course (marked with signage). Again, please follow precautions and practice social distancing.
- Please have a coach/representative from your team near the finish line, in case an athlete "flops" over the line. This way, they athlete(s) can be assisted from the chute area.
