Head Track and Field Coach
This meet will be sanctioned by both the NFHS and SCHSL. The entry fee will be $80 per team per gender ($150 for both teams). On the day of the meet, the track will be open for warm-ups beginning at 7:00 am. We will have a coaches' meeting at 7:30 am.

Our goal is to move efficiently through the day so that we may be ahead of schedule. Please make certain your athletes are on site at least an hour and a half before they compete. We look forward to seeing you at the meet.

Facilities: May River High School track is a 400m track with 8 lanes. At the moment, Shot Put and Discus are the only throwing events to be contested. We are working to add javelin.
Spikes: Pyramid & Xmas Tree spikes of 14 (6mm) or smaller are allowed. No pin or needle spikes.
Eligibility: Open to all high schools who are members of their states associations and all colleges.
Entry Deadline: The entry deadline for all entries is Tuesday, March 24. High School entries should be submitted through SC Mile split.

Entry Limitations: Running events as well as discus, shot put, pole vault and high jump will be limited to 2 entries per event/long and triple jump will be limited to 2 entries per event/2 relay teams per school per event(except the DMR)
Performance List: Packets will be provided with heat sheets and tentative schedule.
Heats/Flights: All running events will be run as heats against time no preliminary heats. In all field events, athletes will have a total of four attempts - the first attempt will be measured, afterwards, only attempts that meet minimums will be measured - with the top three performances taking the awards.
Event Check In: Athletes must check-in with the clerk of the course of 20 minutes prior to the start of their event. Field events will check in at event locations.
ROLLING START MEANS ATHLETES MUST BE AWARE we will get ahead, so event start may be earlier than listed.
Starting Heights: The starting height will be determined by the meet officials once all entries are turned in.
Awards: High school athletes will receive medals for 1st/2nd/3rd places and team awards will be given to the top two girls and boys teams. First place athletes will also receive Champion T-Shirts.
Timing: FinishLynx FAT timing with Hy-tek scoring system will be used in all races/events.
Food: Concessions will be sold as allowed by the SCHSL.Meet Results: Meet results will be posted on a board by the concession area and SCMilesplit.
