Welcome to the 2nd Annual Melicue Metts Invitational. The meet will be run at Orangeburg Prep (168 Prep St. Orangeburg, SC 29118) and is being co hosted by Orangeburg Prep and Wilson Hall. Please make checks payable to Orangeburg Prep and contact Brooks Smith (bsmith@orangeburgprep.com) or Rip Ripley (coachripripley@gmail.com) for registration information.
The cost is $100 per school or $60 dollars if just entering a girls or boys team. We are limiting entries to 3 athletes and 1 relay team per school in each event. We will start field events at 9:00 AM and have a preliminary round of three attempts for all throwing events, long, and triple jump. After the preliminary flights we will reseed the top seven individuals and those seven will be given three more attempts, the top mark no matter the round will count towards the final scoring for each athlete. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each event, a plaque for the top overall individual scorer, and a trophy for first place team.
