Tuesday
April 26: 5:00 pm Quick coaches meeting.
5:15 pm Start all field events

5:30 pm High Hurdles (trials)
5:45 pm 4 x 800 Relay
6:00 pm 100 Meters (trials)

*Field events will be 4 jumps or throws marking the 1st of each and then marking only if a minimum set standard is reached.
*In the running events, girls will run first followed by the boys. The meet will not run more than 30 minutes ahead of schedule.
*In races with preliminaries, the top two in each heat will advance to the finals, along with the next two best times from the three heats. This will change if there are less then 3 preliminary heats.
*Six places will score, with the scoring being 10-8-6-4-2-1, Relay scoring is 10-8-6-4-2
*Scoring will be done by computer and the finish line by camera.
* numbers will be provided for the 800, 1600, 3200m runners

Other Region Information:

Vehicle Parking: Enter your buses onto road adjacent to track from Dunbar Street. Circle at the top of the drive way and park on the road next to the pole vault. Athletes may enter the track from this gate.

Awards: Each school is responsible for the All-Region team awards. This will be the first place in each event and will be announced during the track meet.

Track Information: Only flats or ¼” spikes or smaller will be allowed on the track surface. If you use tape for the relays, you must remove your teams tape after they run.

Local Rules:

All athletes and coaches must enter the track area through the main gate in the center of the track. Athletes and coaches are not allowed on the field, unless participating in a called event.
All warm-ups must be made outside of the track once the meet begins. Athletes may warm-up and hurdles will be placed on the field where the disc is thrown.
Field event equipment will be measured and marked for standards. Please leave these with Field Event Referee at the Coaches meeting.
Athletes must be on time when called or they will be scratched.
Athletes in field events must check in when called. They may ask permission to be excused to another event in order to compete but need to check back within 5 minutes after the event has concluded.
All S.C. League rules will be followed.
We will have the official score by computer and a second team score done by the books. A team may ask to have one person at the scorer’s table if they would like to take score themselves.
Under no circumstance will a head coach or athlete approach the starter or clerk of course with a complaint. They must hand write the complaint and hand it to the head Umpire. This will be reviewed by the Referee who will make the final decision.
