"Yesterday, I had the pleasure of representing team USA at the North America, Central America, and Caribbean (NACAC) Championships. God blessed me with being able to bring home the gold for team USA. The day was definitely not an easy one. We were forced to jump into a 15-20mph head wind. This resulted in all the athletes having to start low on small poles to be safe. All of the athletes and our representatives requested the pit be flipped for the competition, but the meet organizers refused.

Despite these headaches, the Lord blessed me with another 4.50m (14'9") vault to win. I am happy no one was injured in the tough conditions. We were all smart and played it safe.

I would like to dedicate this performance to Glenn Vandergriff who has recently passed away. He has always kept up with my vaulting over the years as a family friend. RIP Glenn."
