Pre-Season Rankings: Class 3, 4, 5 Javelin

Class 4 Girls

8. Olivia Schroder - Ladue, SR

PR - 115-10

7. Jaden Kight - Central Cape Girardeau, JR

PR - 121-11

6. Ashley Alexander - Webb City, SR

PR - 123-4.75

5. Nicole Rezabek - Camdenton, SR

PR - 123-9

4. Kaesha George - Monett, SO

PR - 123-3

3. Lauren Redwin - Pleasant Hill, SR

PR - 125-0

Not far behind the two juniors ahead of her is Pleasant Hill's Redwin who walked away from last year's state meet fourth in the javelin. She was seventh as a sophomore and could be someone who uses her advantage on the big stage to leap frog into first. The other two ahead of her only have one state meet under their belt, and she is only three feet from first at the moment.

2. Lilliana Weir - Oak Grove, JR

PR - 126-2

Weir's javelin career took a significant turn last spring as, in her sophomore year, she was able to grab the runner-up spot behind another sophomore. She has been over 120-0 three times in her career and was only two feet off the state title last season. Nothing is set in stone in Class 4 this spring - all of these girls are very close to each other and it should come down to the very last throw in Jefferson City to decide the winner.

1. Paige VanBlarcum - Warrensburg, JR

PR - 128-2

In only her first season of javelin throwing, Vanblarcum was able to bring home gold for the Warrensburg Tigers, popping off a 128-2 personal best to win it all as a sophomore. She returns as the favorite to repeat, but there are five other girls within five feet of her so this Class 4 javelin could turn out to be a toss-up when it all comes down to it.
