Congratulations to everyone; to each and every competitor, from first to last ; and to everyone and anyone involved in putting on the meet. It was a special day for the Sport of Cross Country and South Carolina. I was fortunate to be there.
Its nice that this meet was finially ran in a warm climate. SC Runners ran very well especially in the intermediate boys race. Jack, Andre, Gabriel, and A.J. all ran their way to All-American status, additionally it was great to see Andre and Gabriel set PR and Gawryluk run within 5 seconds of his PR. Great races Next year will be great. Don't know what happened at Daniel but would be great for the State to see Andre and Gabriel running at the State Meet next year!

And don't forget Logan Morris, of Spartanburg Christian Academy, getting 2nd place in the "Youth Girls" division. The only girl to beat Logan was Chloe Pigg- daughter of former World Triathlon champion Mike Pigg.
Logan's brother Avery finished 25th in the Sub-Bantam boys race.
So that is 2 more All-Americans from SC.

Great run by Logan for sure...must be one of the highest SC placings at USATF Junior Olympics National Cross Country championships. Thanks to the organizers: the meet was a great experience and the level of competition impressive. Having Zola Budd and Amy Yoder-Begley distribute the awards was also a nice touch.
GREAT TO SEE SOME SC KIDS CONTINUE RACING PAST THE SCHSL CHAMPIONSHIP.OUR HIGH SCHOOL COACHES NEED TO ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION IN THIS HIGH CALIBER COMPETITION(i.e.
FOOT LOCKER AND JR OLYMPICS)
