Wilson High School has benefitted from a combination of Eagle Scout and International Baccalaureate projects by students and runners at Wilson. As a result there is now on the Wilson campus an accurately surveyed to meet certification requirements 5 kilometer cross country course. This course traverses the woods around and the fields on campus. It is a true cross country course in the old school tradition with many interesting challenges.
As a result of having this course the Wilson Cross Country Family would like to share it with other runners, so the Wilson Tiger Cross Country Invitational has been set for Saturday October 3, 2015.
The meet is set on this schedule:
9:30 Varsity Boys
10:00 Varsity girls
10:40 Open Race Boys and Girls (7-12)
11:30 Awards
12:00 Everyone should be on the road home.
Awards will consist of trophies for the first and second place teams for varsity and first place teams for Open teams. Additionally medals will be awarded to the top 7 runners in each event.
Entry fee is $50 per team or $80 if bringing Boys and Girls. JV teams are covered by team entry. Include a team roster with entry. If you do not have a full team but would like to participate, the cost is $8 per runner.
