2016 Tri State Relays

This year the Golden Corner Rotary Club is excited to sponsor the Tri-State Relays, a relay meet with invitations to several high school track teams from North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. Field events will start at 5:30 pm and running events at 6:00 pm. The meet will take place under the lights at Seneca High School’s Bobcat Stadium. The meet will be radio broadcast on WFBS-LP (107.9) out of Salem SC and over the internet by the same station (http://tunein.com/radio/Sunny-1079-s192016/) as well as on Facebook at WFBS-LP.

ENTRIES: Entry fee is $50 per school
Seneca Golden Corner Rotary Club is a major sponsor and teams should contact their local Rotary Club President and ask them to sponsor the team entry fee. Local clubs may contact the Golden Corner Rotary President Eddie Perry at 864-723-2914
All entries must be received by noon on April 12, 2016.

AWARDS: Commemorative championship medals will be awarded to all first place, 2nd and 3rd place relay teams and ribbons through 8th place. A team trophy will be awarded to the winning and runner up boy’s and girl’s teams.


EVENTS: Events to be contested:
4 x 100 Meter Relay
4 x 200 Meter Relay
4 x 400 Meter Relay
4 x 800 Meter Relay
Sprint Medley Relay (200-100-100-400)
Distance Medley Relay (1200-400-800-1600)
Shuttle Hurdle Relay (4 athletes- two will run 39”, two will run 36”)
High Jump Relay (3 jumpers, sum of the top two heights per team)
Pole Vault Relay (3 vaulters, sum of the top two heights per team)
Shot Put Relay (3 throwers, sum each person’s best throw)
Discus Relay (3 throwers, sum each person’s best throw)
Long Jump Relay (3 jumpers, sum each person’s best jump)
Triple Jump Relay (3 jumpers, sum each person’s best jump)

Concessions will be open

Heat flights and scoring will be automatically timed

Admission for the track meet will be $5.00 per person. Coaches will admit their teams free.
