The South Carolina Independent School Association announed track and field all-state athletes earlier this week. The association held their state meet April 26 at Heathwood Hall in Columbia. Twenty females and 23 males earned the status.
Heathwood Hall's Carey Roth was named female track athlete of the year. Augusta Christian's earned the honor in boys competition.

The Heathwood Hall girls track team won its first state title since 2005. Senior captains Anne Herlong and Francis Ellerbe are the only members of both squads.The regular Monday morning assembly at Heathwood Hall was not so regular this week.
