Daniel senior cross country and track and field athlete Stephanie Gammon signed to continue her running career at UAB. Hanna's Thela Woodring signed with UAB in 2006.
Gammon finished second at the state championships Nov. 4, leading the Lions to the Class AAA state title over Mann.
Seneca sprinter LaKya Brookings will continue her career at the University of South Carolina and James Island's Rindi Wood will join the cross country and track and field programs at Coastal Carolina University in August.
Wood, the first runner across the finish line for James Island at the state championships, placed 19th in 19:41 in the Class AAAA competition.
Brookins finished first in the Class AAA 100-meter (11.94) and 200-meter dash (24.12) events at the 2006 state championship.
