SCTCCCA HOF inductees announced, past president honored

The SCTCCCA winter meeting is taking place this morning in Columbia.

Dorman coach Jeff Buys and Mann coach Joseph Pinckney were announced as association hall of fame inductees. Both will be inducted at the SCTCCCA Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic in March.

The Shrine Bowl Run celebrated 29 years this past December.

  • The state meet will take place at Spring Valley May 15-16.
  • The jewelry rule in the state will remain the same. NFHS eliminates jewelry rule in 2015
  • Bill Wrightson (Hilton Head) and Cummings (Riverside) were named 2014 coaches of the year for the state by the USTFCCCA. Both are in consideration for the association's first-ever national high school coach of the year award for cross country.
