How did you get involved in the sport and why?
My eighth grade P.E teacher (coach Finlen) stated I was a good runner and should participate on the track team.

How have you seen it change?
Going from a 4A Division to 3A; I can honestly say the competition is still very much tedious.

How do you feel you have grown in the sport?
I have grown in the sport by reducing my run times and setting personal records, even if it's only by tenths of a second.

What has been your motivation for this season?
My biggest motivation for this season is to become a state champion in any of my events.

How do you look at the rankings?
I look at the rankings as what it is based on past performances.

What goes throughout your mind as the gun is getting ready to go as you are waiting in the blocks or starting line?
A million different thoughts, how should I get out, my technique for the back stretch, and how I will build stamina to finish my race strong.

Do you have a pre-race tradition? Please explain.
My preparation before any race is to stretch out good, stay hydrated, and just continually pray that I have a great performance.

How would you rate your season so far?
From 1-10, I would rate my season so far an 8.

Do you have any family members involved in the sport?
I have no family members who are involved in track and field.

What challenges have you encountered in the sport?
One of the toughest challenges I have encountered in this sport is competing with one who wants it just as bad as I do. In the end it all comes down to who has the most heart.

Have you ever been injured?
My ninth grade year I was finishing my leg for the 4x4 and my hip popped out of place. It was the worst feeling ever. I wasn't able to participate at the state meet that following week.

What do you hope to achieve in the sport and in life in the future?
I hope to achieve a state ring and an offer from a great college so I can continue on my talent.

Do you have post season track plans?
I plan to take part in an AAU track team.

What is your favorite workout and why?
My favorite workout is running 450s, it's a great help for the last 100 of the 400 race.

What goals have you set for the rest of the season?
My set goal is to give my all in my events and PR.

Looking at the 2014 state meet, what do you remember and how did that make you prepare for the 2015 state meet?
The 2014 state meet was devastating for me, I did not perform as well as I should have, so for preparation for 2015 I will work harder and focus on a state ring.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what it would it be and why?
If there was one thing I could do in this world, it would be to train with a U.S.A. Olympian because that is my ultimate goal.
