Chapin senior Luke Lovelace outran two national competitors in the 3200-meter run, his first indoor competition, with a new St. Christopher's Fieldhouse record of nine minutes, 14.64 seconds at the St. Christopher's Mid-Atlantic Track Clash in Richmond, Va. earlier today.

The pack when through the mile on the 200-meter flat track in approximately four minutes, 36 seconds. Lovelace made a move with three laps remaining and held on for the victory and U.S. no. 4.
Jason Witt, former fieldhouse record-holder (9:17.57, Feb. 3, 2007) was second with U.S. no. 5 time of nine minutes, 19.18 seconds.

Mann's Nelson runs sub-60 400 indoors
Mann sophomore Briana Nelson ran a sub-60 second 400-meter dash indoors earlier today at the Gainesville (Fla.) Sports Commission Meet, held in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center. Nelson won the event in 57.10 seconds.
The Patriot finished second in the 200-meter dash (25.78) overall and first in her age group. Nelson placed third in the 55-meter dash (7.52).
Last weekend Nelson placed second to South Central's (N.C). Kelsey McCorkle in the 300-meter dash at the Eastern Challenge in Durham, N.C. McCorkle crossed the line in 39.91 seconds with Nelson across in 40.50, setting a Nike Indoor Nationals qualifying mark.
