American record falls at Clemson, Candace Hill competes


Professionals Quanera Hayes and Candace Hill ran 300 meters at Clemson this past weekend. Hayes ran 35.71 to break Natasha Hastings's American record, and while Track & Field News and USATF do not list a U.S. junior indoor record for the 300, Hill's 36.86 is faster than the standing high school record for the event. (Hill, who turns 18 in February and turned pro at the end of 2015, is a high school senior.)
