Wren Hurricanes Brad Orr and Steven Craig signed NLI's Thursday at 3:15 p.m. Orr will attend Winthrop University, located in Rock Hill in the fall. Craig will join the Bulldogs at the Citadel, located in Charleston next fall.
Orr has a cross-country 5,000-meter 2003 season best of 16:23.64, set at the Tri-County XC Classic on Oct. 13. For the 2004 track and field season Orr has an 800-meter best of 2:00.21, a 1600-meter best of 4:31.10, a mile best of 4:31.21 and a 3200-meter best of 10:05.78.
Craig ended his senior cross-country season with a season best of 16:59.78, set at the State Championships on Nov. 8. For the 2004 track and field season Craig has a season best 3200 of 10:17.66.
Winthrop University is a D-I member of the Big South Conference. The Citadel is a D-I member of the Southern Conference.
