Emily Hickman, daughter of the late coach David Hickman, is organizing a cancer awareness run Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at Blue Ridge in Greer. The event is free to participate.
The event page said, "A 5K in memory of those affected by cancer, almost everyone has been affected indirectly or directly by this dreaded disease. So let's do what we do best. Gather around the track and show it who's boss. We encourage people of all ages to participate, whether you run or walk, this race can't be lost."
