Clemson University's track and field program announced today the high school indoor meet scheduled for Dec. 5 has been postponed due to outdoor facility construction in preparation for the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships coming to Clemson in spring 2010 (April 15-17).
"The reason we are having to postpone the meet is due to construction around the facility," said Clemson distance coach Brad Herbster. "As we make improvements to the outdoor track in preparation for the ACC Outdoor Championships they are having to cut power and dig where people would walk. This is not going to effect our Friday night meet for college athletes."
Herbster said a new date has not been set due to the Tigers' collegiate schedule.
