The South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Association has extended the deadline for the Sharonda Coleman-Singleton Scholarship application.
The deadline, originally April 14, is now April 19 at midnight.
Each school may nominate one track and field or cross country athlete of the class of 2022. The athlete must have competed in one or both seasons (cross country and track and field) this school year to be eligible, according to the announcement.
Coach Coleman-Singleton was killed in the shooting at Emanuel AME church in downtown Charleston on June 17, 2015.
The deadline is April 19 at 11:59 p.m.
