Kate Prichard, a sophomore at Mars Hill College was named SAC Women\'s Runner of the Week, announced by the SAC office on Aug. 30.
Prichard, a graduate of Daniel High School in 2003, finished first among 57 runners at the Dupont Forest Trail Run, leading her team to the team win. Last season Prichard earned first Team All-Conference and All-Region honors as well as being selected as the SAC Freshman of the Year.
During Prichard\'s high school tenure her team won back-to-back State Championships in cross country. Prichard was the state champion in the 1600 at the 2002 State Track and Field Championships.
