Exley McCormick of Daniel and Austin Walton of Greenville High School finished one and two, respectively at the Electric City Festival on Saturday. Wren High School (45 points) captured the boy\'s team title by 20 points over Daniel as the team placed three runners in the top 10. Greenville High rounded out the top three in the team standings.
In a former 3A matchup, until Wren moved up to 4A for the 2004 season Sunday Ford (Wren) and Stephanie Gammon (Daniel) finished one and two, respectively. Ford sealed the win with a 18:52.72 5k time to Gammon\'s 19:30.10. Daniel captured the team victory with four runners in the top 10 for 33 points.
Next up in South Carolina is the Furman Invitational on Oct. 9. Furman University is hosting the South Conference Championships on Oct. 30. In 1999 and 2001 Furman hosted the NCAA D-I National Cross Country Championships.
