ROCK HILL, S.C. – Freshmen Trey Parker and Andrea Kelsey to set new school and freshman records to lead the Wofford men’s and women’s track teams at the 2010 Asics Winthrop Invitational.

On the women’s side, Kelsey finished the 3000 meter steeplechase in a time of 12:00.14, beating the previous school record by more than a minute and twenty seconds and finishing fourth in the event.

The women earned another top ten performance with freshman Shelby Harris’ time of 18:55.32 in the 5000 meter, good for tenth place in the event.

Freshman Trey Parker led the men, setting a new school and freshman record in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:22.66, which earned him fifth place in the event.

Elias Conits also earned a top-ten finish in the 100 meter dash, finishing with a 11.04 mark. Andy Vess turned in another top-ten finish for the Terrier men with an eighth place finish in the javelin throw, recording a throw of 49.61 meters.

The Terriers will compete again April 2-3 at the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C.
