This Week's Nominees:
Jessie Shelley, Silver Bluff (South Carolina): Broke out with a pair of wins at the Aiken Meet #1, clocking 10.25 in the 100 and 21.34 in the 200 while beating state-ranked David Quattlebaum in both events. Both marks were personal records, improving from 10.81 in the 100 and 21.53 in the 200. Also won the long jump with a leap of 21-8.63.
Torrean Davis, Spartanburg (South Carolina): Jumped a personal record 23-7.07 to win the long jump at the Chick-Fil-A Games, moving to #2 in South Carolina and tops among juniors statewide.
Walker Ferguson, Mauldin (South Carolina): Launched a state-leading javelin throw of 199-10.43 to win at the Chick-Fil-A Games, establishing himself as the top junior in the event. Also set a personal record in the discus with 127-10.65, improving from 122-9.5. Watch here
Wade Leventis, Waccamaw (South Carolina): Won the 400 meters at the Azalea/Zaxby's Invitational in a state-leading 48.23, taking over the top spot in South Carolina.
David Quattlebaum, Gray Collegiate (South Carolina): The freshman put up massive personal records in both sprints at the Aiken Meet #1, running 21.58 in the 200 meters for second place and 10.77 in the 100 for third. His 200 time moved him to #3 in the state and #1 among freshmen, while his 100 clocking ranks #10 statewide and also leads all freshmen.
Wilson Rutherford, Waccamaw (South Carolina): Won the Azalea / Zaxby's Invitational 1600-meter run with S.C. no. 1 4:17.
