South Carolina Girls Track Performer of the Week (Mar. 9-15)

After another week of indoor and outdoor track & field action in South Carolina, it's time to vote for the MileSplit South Carolina girls performer of the week.

Note: Athletes who have been nominated in the past two weeks are not eligible. Previous winners are excluded for the rest of the season.

This Week's Nominees:

Miracle Mclean, Carolina Forest (South Carolina): Posted a personal best 5-9.69 to win the high jump at the Island Invitational, breaking her PR of 5-7 set last May. Also placed second in the long jump at 16-11.94 and fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 35-9.

Riley Vaughn, Spartanburg (South Carolina): Won the shot put with a state-leading mark of 42-4.27 at the Spartanburg Home Meet #2.

Destiny Horn, Ridge View (South Carolina): Clocked a personal best 7.12 in the 55 meters at Nike Indoor Nationals, breaking her PR of 7.21. The time ranks #69 nationally and makes her the #14 junior in the country.

Ashley Roush, Philip Simmons (South Carolina): Captured wins in both the pole vault and high jump at the Mellow Mushroom Relays, posting a state-leading 12-6 in the pole vault. Set a personal best in the high jump with a mark of 5-4.96, improving from her previous best of 5-0, and added a second-place finish in the long jump at 17-5.84.

Kaylee Kearney, St. James (South Carolina): Won the long jump at the Island Invitational with a mark of 18-5.26, beating state-ranked Miracle McKean. Also placed third in the triple jump at 36-1, finishing ahead of Mclean in that event as well.
