Outdoor Season Starts Saturday

The 2005 track and field season starts Saturday with four meets in the Palmetto state.

There will be plenty of relay action taking place starting down in Beaufort, as the 11th annual Beaufort relays hosted by Beaufort is scheduled.

The Greenville-Spartanburg Relays, hosted by Dorman will take place in Spartanburg.

Sumter hosts the Annual Optimist Relays this Saturday.

The only invite is the second annual Father Kelly Classic Meet hosted by Bishop England.

Fast times are a possibility at the Optimist Relays in Sumter as Sumter, Spring Valley, Stratford, Irmo, Greer, and Richland Northeast all are scheduled to make an appearance.

Dorman, Mauldin, Byrnes, and Broome are just some of the schools to take the track in Spartanburg.

Bishop England will have mostly 2A schools as Bishop England is set to host the Lower State meet later this season. Some of the schools that will also run Saturday are Chesterfield, Cheraw, Ashley Hall, and Stall. Wando and Summerville will also make an appearance.
