Several South Carolina high school athletes recorded personal bests at meets during the week of March 16.
Demeria Woodley (Blackville-Hilda) ran 15.85 in the 110m hurdles at the Trojan Country Classic on March 20, improving from his previous mark of 17.36 set in March 2026. The junior finished fourth of nine competitors and ranks #107 in the state and #17 among juniors. Woodley also set a personal best in the 400m hurdles, running 1:01.79 after entering with a best of 1:06.78.
Peyton Peduzzi (Fox Creek) won the 3200 meters at the First Annual Augusta Prep Invitational on March 18 in 12:07.26, breaking her previous best of 12:32.78. The time set a Fox Creek school record and ranks the junior #116 in South Carolina and #29 among juniors. Peduzzi also ran a personal best 2:35.60 in the 800 meters, improving from 2:35.88.
Maddie Sanders (Wando) cleared 11-5.8 in the pole vault at the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic on March 21, improving from her previous best of 11-0 set in March 2026. The sophomore placed fourth of 18 competitors and leads all sophomores in the state while ranking #11 overall.
Isaiah N Daniels (Brookland Cayce) jumped 21-5.75 in the long jump at the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic on March 21, improving from his previous mark of 19-10.5. The junior finished second of 36 competitors and ranks #105 in the state and #17 among juniors.
Kaleb Diaz (Powdersville) cleared 6-2.8 in the high jump at the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic on March 21, improving from his previous best of 5-10. The junior placed second of 17 competitors and ranks #50 in South Carolina and #13 among juniors.
JaNiyah Stokes (Irmo) won the high jump at the No Speed Limit Invitational on March 20 with a clearance of 5-4, improving from her previous best of 5-2. The junior ranks #18 in the state and #5 among juniors.
Kaysey Cooper (Berkeley) won the 100m hurdles at the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic on March 21 in 15.01, improving from her previous mark of 15.46. The sophomore ranks #17 in South Carolina and #3 among sophomores.
