Spring Valley junior Kate Niehaus finished first in the Nike Indoor Championships two-mile today. Niehaus crossed the line in 10:31.87 with North Dakota\'s Krista Anderson right behind Niehaus in 10:32.14.

On Saturday, the Westside Track Club/Quick Striders TC girls shuttle relay team of Jasmine Stowers, Tempest Vance, Tereneisha Jones, and Brandi Myers captured the relay title in 33.51.

Vance ran a 60-hurdles time of 9.62, cleared a height of 4-10.5 in the high jump, threw the shot put a distance of 26-09.25, leaped 17-06.25 in the long jump and finished up the event with a 2:38.19 800-meter run, totaling 3053 points.
Westside senior Dennis Martin finished second overall in the boys 60-meter hurdles. Martin crossed the line in 7.83 seconds to Jared Huske of Topeka, KS. Martin finished 11th in the preliminaries and sixth in the semi-finals.

McLaurin finished with a 7.48 finals time. McLaurin finished third in the preliminaries in 7.57 and eighth in the semi-finals, the last finals qualifier, in 7.65 seconds.
