Dutch Fork junior Roland Hakes was named state Gatorade cross country runner of the year, the organization announced this week.
Rakes won the Class AAAA individual title in November at the state meet in 15 minutes, 34 seconds.
Daniel's Sinead Haughey was named girls state runner of the year last week.
