This Week's Nominees:
Luke Hurley, Boiling Springs (South Carolina): Clocked 8:51.97 for 4th place in the 3200 at the ASICS Carolina Distance Carnival, a new PR breaking his previous best of 9:06.79 set in February. The time defeated Jackson Tuck, the state's #2-ranked 3200 runner, who finished in 8:57.91.
Jackson Tuck, Greer Middle College Charter (South Carolina): Posted PRs in both distance events at the ASICS Carolina Distance Carnival, running 4:06.29 in the 1600 and 8:57.91 in the 3200. The 1600 improved from his 4:08.26 PR set last April, while his 3200 bettered his previous best of 9:05.93 from April 2025.
Mekhi Malcolm, T.L. Hanna (South Carolina): Won the shot put at the SCTCCCA Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic Elite Meet with a throw of 61-5, then added a 10th-place finish in the discus at 143-8.02. His shot put victory came in a field of 18 competitors.
Aidan Graham, Rock Hill (South Carolina): Put up strong marks in both throws across two meets, taking 2nd in the discus with 184-1 at the Ardrey Kell Knights - Need 4 Speed and winning the shot put at 59-6.57 at the Battle of the Rock. The discus throw placed him 2nd in a field of 43 competitors.
Jacob Tejada, Cane Bay (South Carolina): Turned in a pair of PRs at the SCTCCCA Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic Elite Meet, running 10.47 in the 100 and 21.49 in the 200. The 100 time broke his previous best of 10.48 by .01, while his 200 improved from 21.79 set in March.
