Exciting ride: Wando's Tyler third in New Balance Nationals emerging elite mile

Wando senior Tim Tyler and his father Tim had an exciting ride once landing at New York's LaGuardia Airport Friday morning enroute to New Balance Nationals at The Armory.

The cab the Tyler's were riding in lost its brakes after leaving the airport and ran three lights before stopping after hitting a building.

His father said they are both doing fine and Tim finished third in the emerging elite one mile tonight in four minutes, 22 seconds.

The Warrior will compete Sunday in the elite two-mile run.  His father said they will tour the city tomorrow and leave for Mount Pleasant Sunday evening.
