The South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Association is hosting the annual Coaches Classic meet at Spring Valley Saturday. The meet is a fundraiser for the association.

Meet management notes:
1) There is a car show going on in the big parking lot next to the fire station. Parking will be at a premium.
2) All teams should enter at the stop light and park behind the school. Athlete entrance will be behind the school.
3) Tents may only be placed in the stands on the back straight and up top on the end of the concession stand at the open end of the stadium. Due to the new stadium configuration at Spring Valley, there is no place to put up a tent that requires stakes. Only free standing type tents can be used. Tents will be allowed in the stands on the back straight away only; no tents will be allowed in the stands on the finish line side of the stadium.
4) No tape on the track surface anywhere. Tennis balls will be provided.
5) No electronics on or inside the oval.
6) Each team , not just school is required to provide one person to help at the meet.
7) There are minimum performances in the throws of: 28' and 40' for measurement in the shot and 80' and 120' in the discus. This is after the first legal throw has been measured.
8) 3200 meter: Section one of the 3200-meter run will take place in the morning. Sections two and three will be run in the evening.
9) Opening heights: of the high jump (4' 8" girls & 5' 8" boys) and pole vault (8' girls & 10' boys).
10) Make your athletes aware of the uniform rule, jewelry rule, sportsmanship policy and all track rules in general that pertain to their events. We will follow the SCHSL and NFHS rules tomorrow.
11) Admission fee will be $5 for spectators
12) T-shirts will be for sale with team rosters on the back
13) Full concessions will be open
