The South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Friday morning the 2026 Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic to be held at the Farm XC Course in Newberry has been canceled.
The association shared the following statement to MileSplit SC.
"The SCTCCCA Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic at Newberry on Saturday. In following the forecasts since the weekend, it has gone from bad to worse in a matter of days. Currently Newberry is projected to get 2-plus inches of rain starting after midnight. The weather will make travel conditions very dangerous for teams all over the state. We feel that it is best to err on the side of caution and think about the safety of everyone involved in this meet. Logistics of the meet in this weather will make it difficult on everyone and so this is the best decision we can make."
Meet entries fees will be rolled over to the 2027 Coaches Classic.
