Registration/Entry Fees:
All registration will be done on DirectAthletics.com. www.directathletics.com Youth entry fee is $25 per athlete with a maximum of 3 events + a relay. All entries will be done through www.directathletics.com . Payment is due online upon completing your entry into the meet. There will be no refunds. Entry deadline is January 20th, 2014. No entries will be taken after the deadline and all entries must be done online. All competitors should run unattached or as a club team. This is not a High School Sanctioned event.
Age Groups
For this event we have 3 age groups based on age ranges for Elementary, Middle, and High School. Some may fall out of these ranges and be higher or lower in school but the grouping is based only on age and birthdate. Where you fall in an age grouping is where you run. There will be no exceptions.
Elementary School -Division 1, Middle School Age-Division 2, High School Age-Division 3, Masters Age-Division 4
Packet Pickup
Saturday January 25, 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
You will not be allowed to compete without picking up your packet and wearing your number on the front of your uniform.
Pole Vaulters and High Jumpers can wear their number on the back of their uniform.
Admission
$5.00 per person not entered in the meet as an athlete. This includes coaches. Clubs with more than 10 entries will receive 2 coaches’ passes. More than 20 entries will receive 4 passes. Please, please, please; help us and bring exact change. Please let your parents know as well.
Implement Weigh In
All shot and weight implements must be weighed in to the left of the throws cage 1 hour prior to the start of the event. All athletes are responsible for providing their own implements. Meet management will not supply implements.
Medical Facilities
The indoor facility is equipped with an Athletic Training Center inside the facility and will be available for use throughout the event.
Field Event Starting Heights/Minimum Marks & Field/Heat Sizes
With the addition of the “Elementary School” division, it may be necessary to limit field and heat sizes. Entries for events may have to be closed if the numbers are getting too large. The entries will be first come first serve. Early entries will have priority.
Starting heights will be established once entries close.
All Field Events (except PV & HJ) will have 4 attempts
Minimum marks in the LJ/TJ may be established if field sizes mandate. All athletes will get at least 2 marks before the minimum mark is put into place.
Athlete Check-In
Athletes must check in with the Meet Clerk or the Event Official at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. Athletes not checked in by that time will be scratched from the meet.
Facility
The Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex has a 200m flat Mondo Super-X Performance surface with a 73 foot radius. Six 44 inch wide lanes on the oval, eight 44 inch wide lanes on the straightaway, two long jump/triple jump runways and pits, two pole vault runways and landing pits, a separate throwing cage for shot put and weight throw, and has seating or 1,800 spectators. There is also an athletic training room, restrooms and concession facilities. This facility features a second floor mezzanine for event operations.
Concessions
Concessions sold at this event are the sole responsibility of Clemson University, not the event or the managing of this event. We do not control the hours of operation, food cost, or food selection. Please plan for your team’s food and beverage needs throughout the event.
Below is all new for 2014!
Spike Check
Only ¼ inch pyramid spikes will be allowed on the track. All spikes must be checked in at the clerking area. Any athletes that try to check in and their spikes are not ¼ inch pyramid will not be allowed to check in for their event and not permitted to check-in/run until spikes are changed.
T-Shirts
This year we will have commemorative t-shirts for sale for $15. Cash only, exact change is appreciated!
Heat Sheets & Results
Heat sheets and event by event results will be posted online at www.Timinginc.com. You can purchase hard copies of Heat Sheets and Results for $5 per copy. Exact change is appreciated!
Awards
New for this year, we will be giving awards to the winners of each event in their specific age group. Awards can be picked up in the lobby at the packet pick up area following the posting of results.
Field Size Limits
We will closely monitor the sizes of the fields in all the events. If meet management feels any event is getting too large, we will close the event and limit its size. Based on previous year’s numbers, sprints numbers may be capped. All entries will be first come, first serve and once the size is capped, no more entries will be allowed.
