Meet Information
Region 1-5A Championship
Date: Wednesday April 25 and Thursday April 26th
Friday April 27th is Rain Date only
Entries: Entries are limited to 4 athletes per event. All entries must be received by Monday, April 23th at 11:59 PM. Please see the chart below in regards to the entries and relays.
Athlete may officially enter:
Four Individual Events: No Relays Allowed
Three Individual Events: May be listed on any number of relays but
compete in only one relay
Two Individual Events: May be listed on any number of relays but
compete in only two relays
One Individual Event: May be listed on any number of relays but
participate in only three relays
Zero Individual Event: May be listed on four relays and may compete in
four relays
Awards: Plaques for Boys and Girls Team Champions. Medals for 1st place. Ribbons for 2nd-5th
Entry Fee: $100 for each school-to cover the cost of awards.
Admission for the track meet will be $5.00 per person. Coaches will admit their teams in free.
Meet Scoring:
Individual: 8-6-4-2-1
Relay: 8-6-4-2
State Qualifier: Top 4 per event will move on to the State Qualifier.
*Our Region is responsible for running on the Triple Jump at State Qualifier
Be prepared to carry out your assignment. Hanna will provide tapes, bars, rakes, etc. Hanna will provide volunteers to help rake, measure, and replace bars. You are just in charge of running the event off. All shots, discusses, and pole vault poles must be inspected and verified as legal. Poles must be properly marked for weight, and the vaulter on the proper pole for his/her weight.
*Field Events will be 3 trials then top 6 in reverse order to best performance with 3 final jumps
*Running events with preliminaries: heat winner then the next three fastest times.
