Meet Information
The time is upon us to register for the Region 2-2A Meet on Wednesday, 4/24. I'm sure all of you know from the meetings that the track will open up at 2 pm for warm-ups with a coaches' meeting at 2:30 pm. The field events will begin at 3 pm and the running events will begin at 4 pm.
According to the rules from the Region Directors' meeting, any athlete who is registered for 4 individual events will not be able to be entered for any relay events. Any athlete who is registered for 3, 2, or 1 individual event(s) may be registered for any # of relays but must be listed as an ALTERNATE. If the athlete does participate in a relay they were an alternate for they will not be able to participate in any other relay for the duration of the meet. If a said athlete participates in more than 4 events, according to the rules of Participation and Entry Limitations they will be disqualified from the contest and other contests, and any results will be forfeited and the teams will relinquish any medal/ribbons won.
We will provide you with the relay cards that you will list your runners for the 400m relay, 1600m relay, and the 3200m relay.
Pole Vaulters are also required according to the rules to register their weight to the poles that will be used during the meet. They MUST be on that weight or under to use that pole. This will carry through with them to the 2A Qualifier and the 2A State Meet.
We will also have a schedule of the events and what time they will be starting. We will do our best to stay ahead of schedule and we will be making announcements during the meet for 1st, 2nd, and final calls for running events. We will be on a rolling start so please help us stay on pace by making sure your athletes are aware of when events are going to happen.
