Dear Coach,

Thank you all for your interest in participating in the first home meet at Batesburg-Leesville High School hosted at Batesburg-Leesville High School. We are hoping this meet will be a highly competitive early-season atmosphere. The meet will follow the traditional format, every event will be finals and the field events will be limited to 4 attempts. We will honor a three-turn stagger in the 1600m relay. This meet will include a rolling start with the 4x100 relay being the first event and the field events will continue once the previous is done.

Our facility features an 8-lane rubber surface track, canteen, restrooms, bleachers, and an automatic timing system featuring FlashTiming200 and Hy-Tek Meet Management.

My name is Patrick Leonhardt, and I am one of the Track and Field coaches at BLHS who handles the timing system and registration of meets. If you are interested in joining this meet, please contact me at pleonhardt@lex3.k12.sc.us, or Head Coach Omar Collier at ocollier@lex3.k12.sc.us, as there is a password, you will need to register your athletes. There will be alimit of 4 per event for this meet and one relay team per relay.

Coaches, there will be a meeting near the Start/Finish Line at 4:45 pm. We will go over responsibilities for coaches throughout the meet which include field event assignments and zone assignments for relays.

Your athletes will be allowed on the track until 4:55 am for warm-ups. If they move any hurdles to warm-up with they need to return to the original spot. We will provide you with Chalk to mark the track. Field events and the 4x100 relay will start promptly at 5:00 pm. Please make sure your athletes check in at their field events and check out if they are competing in a running event. The events will start at the designated times as prompted on the schedule. We will make calls throughout the events to alert your athletes when events are happening. Times are tentative and events may go faster depending on the number of entries. The schedule will go as follows:

4:45 Coaches Meeting

4:451st call all field events and 4x100 relays

4:50 2nd call for all field events and 4x100 relays

4:55 Track Closed, Final call for field events and 4x100 relays report to Start/Finish Line
