Meet Information
Until last year, the Lowcountry area had never had a professional track meet, had never seen a sub-4 minute mile, and had never has an event like this staged there. It is back for 2019 and you can run with the pros!
Last year, we delivered three sub-4 clockings in the men's Mile, led by Cristian Soratos 3:56.21, the second fastest mile ever recorded on South Carolina soil. Jesus Lopez won the men's 800m in a new Mexican national record of 1:45.04, which, at the time was among the top 15 times recorded in the world for 2018. And the women's 1500m saw U.S Championship runner-up, Katie Mackey run one of the fastest 1500m times ever recorded in South Carolina.
In 2019, we will be adding sprints and field events to an already strong middle-distance line-up, and already have commitments from a dozen youth track clubs around the South. For full event registration go to www.sctrackfest.com.
