The Starlight Invitational Run is presented by
STARLIGHT 2024 IS POSTPONED TO NOVEMBER 9th due to Hurricane Helene aftermath - Due to the changes, we know we will unfortunately lose some teams from the race, but hope as many teams as possible will still join us! Please reach out to Coach Long if your team was not scheduled to attend and would like to be added to the list to get a spot (dglong@greenville.k12.sc.us).
Race details will be posted as they are confirmed. We apologize for this change, but want to make sure Starlight lives up to its reputation!
Payment Status and Team Race Assignments available here:
Spectators:
We recommend using the following address to assist you in locating the proper parking lot/event entrance (instead of the school address): 1300 South Suber Road Greer, SC 29650 (use any parking lot gate to enter). Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Overflow parking is available at Riverside Baptist Church across the street.
The Spectator Entrance is our "Home" entrance to the football stadium on the side closest to the school (the entrance on the right if looking at the stadium from the parking lot). $2 spectator admission fee instead of parking fee to combat the large traffic back-up and parking issues - can pay at the gate (cash - EXACT CHANGE PREFERRED) or online at https://gofan.co/event/1984774?schoolId=SC2002. Children 1st grade and under are free. NO DOGS ALLOWED. Greenville County Schools has a clear bag policy at all athletic events.
Open Race participants should use the "Visitors" entrance near the practice field (same one the teams use) to check in and avoid entry fees.
Tshirts: Starlight tshirts are available for sale by pre-order only: https://www.thegraphiccowcompany.com/tbanker?proofId=WO751058 Deadline to order is September 18 and all orders CAN BE PICKED UP IN THE CONCESSIONS STAND ON RACE DAY!
OPEN RACE: The Starlight Invitational Run presented by Shriners Children's Greenville - Specialist in Sport Injury Care and Orthopedics will include an open race for the public at 4:30pm. Race will be chip timed and age group awards will be given for the 1st and 2nd place individuals for male/female (<20, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-49, 50+). Any participants who have not completed the race by 5:00pm may be cleared from the course in order to prepare for the cross country races to begin.
