Sophomore Lucy Taylor set a new school record for the UAB track and field team Friday evening during the first day of the Tiger Paw Invitational hosted by Clemson. Taylor clocked a time of 2:59.68, breaking the previous 1000m indoor record time of 2:59.90 set by Whitney Mays in 2006.
